About the Library

As part of our mission, MABUG works to share reports, forms, documentation and multimedia across its member
schools. Member institutions are encouraged to share whatever resources they may feel would benefit other Banner
institutions. The one caveat is that all resources are offered as is: the donating schools cannot offer support for shared
resources.

Below is a list of items currently available in the MABUG Library. If you would like to obtain a resource, please contact
your institution's MABUG Library Contact person. A list of these contacts is available. Where specified, we have provided
direct links to the most popular resources.

6.x: Internet Native Banner Primer and FAQ (University of Richmond) - PDF Documents that outline settings to
maximize INB performance, and other tips and tricks related to INB.

6.x: Person Searching Strategies (University of Richmond) - How to perform an efficient person search using the
extendedsearch feature in INB 6.x

6.0: What's New in SCT Banner 6.0 (University of Richmond) - These 13 flash videos can be viewed in your web
browser. Each program discusses the enhancements and significant problem resolutions new in the May 2003 point
releases of Banner 6.0. (2 hours, 20 minutes total running time). You can view the videos if you have the correct
username and password by clicking here (staff from schools who have SCT Banner may request a username and
password from Kerri Chapman).

5.x: All sorts of documentation, soon to be removed from the library due to the desupport of Banner 5.x.

3.0: Banner User Guide (Richmond) - This Acrobat PDF file contains policies and procedures for all Banner users at
Richmond. Sections include Introduction, Information for Query Users, Information for Maintenance Users, and
Appendicies.We're currently working on a new edition, updated for Banner 6.x, with additional policies and procedures.

5.3: GUXSYST (Customized GUASYST) (Richmond) - This FMB adds indicators to show you whether a person is an
Active Student and/or an Active Employee. Version 5.3 has been updated to allow you to edit all form triggers in Oracle
Developer 6i (a defect in the 5.0 baseline GUASYST).
